For this one, draw the picture. y = -3 will be a line through the y axis at -3. What is the slope? Hint, slope is (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1). So, if there is no change in y, because it is always the same number, then, the numerator is zero.
What is zero divided by a number?
Lauren H.
there is no x in y = -3. Because, the slope is zero. (0)(x) = 0
A line parallel to y = -3 could be y = -1 or y = 5 or y = 17.

Hey Lauren, I know the formula but what can I use for the x’s and the other y? There is only one y which is -3. I don’t really get this
