Samuel invested part of his $10,000 inheritance in a fund and the rest in a stock. after one yea, the fund paid a 12% profit and the stock paid a 9% profit. If his profits for the first year were $1084.59, how much did he invest in the fund?

F + S = 10000

.12F + .09S = 1084.59
