teaspoon of vanilla extract. If the recipe is doubled, how much vanilla extract is needed?

you can just multiply by 2 in order to double it!

1/8 x 2 = 2/8 = 1/4

so you will need 1/4 teaspoon in that scenario

I'm assuming you mean 1/8.

 

(1/8)(2) = (1/8)(2/1) = 2/8 = 1/4

 

Also, if you want to double a fraction, half the denominator.

 

Double 2/100 is 2/50. Double 3/50 is 3/25.
