All I need is some one who can be there in case I have a question when ever that is?
I don't know how to ask the question Im having trouble understanding some parts of geometry ( segments and there measurements ) if any one could help that would be great

If the segment is parallel (or colinear) to either the x or y axis, the segment length is easily determined by subtracting the lower x or y value of one endpoint from the higher on the other endpoint. For example, if the segment had endpoints of (-1,4) and (3,4), the length would be 3-(-1) = 3+1 = 4.
If the segment is not parallel to either axis, you can compute its length by drawing 2 additional segments from the endpoints that are each parallel to an axis until they meet. Since this then forms a right triangle, you can compute the lengths x and y of the 2 new segments by the method above and then use the the Pythagorean theorem to calculate the original segment's length z by the equation z2=x2+y2
