Stan drove 3300m to the grocery store. The tires are 2.2 in circumference. How many rotations did each tire make?

How do I solve it?

2.2 in x (2.54cm/in) x (1m/100cm)= .056 m/circumference
 
3300m/(.056m/rotation) = 58,928.6 rotations
 
( these are very small wheels!)

I think the confusion here is the use of the symbols: "in", which I interpreted as meaning "inches", assuming that every number must have a unit. I think now that you omitted a unit, and instead mean the word: "in" (preposition).
