Given:
V2 = V1/2
T2 = 2T1
Plug these into the relation and solve for P2.
P1V1/T1 = P2(V1/2) / (2T1)
P1 = P2/4
P2 = 4P1
The final pressure is 4 times the initial pressure. A pressure increase makes sense because you are compressing the gas and making it hotter at the same tine, which results in higher pressure.
