Well, K stands for Kilo; G stand for Giga; M stand for Mega.  Not sure what B stands for other than Bytes, but that wouldn't be restricted to physical chemistry.  I'll just go with it, however.
KB = kilobyte = 103 bytes
GB = gigabyte = 109 bytes
MB = megabyte = 106 bytes
