There is a formula for finding the midpoint: (x+x2)/2 and (y+y2)/2 .
Also, these two points, (-5,4) and (4,5), can be graphed on some graph paper and connected by a line.
Let me give you another example: (-8,2) and (2,10). Add the x's, (-8+2)/2 and the y's (2+10)/2.
Your new midpoint is the following: (-6/2, 12/2)=(-3, 6). Remember if you take total the distance and divide it by 2, you end up with half the distance or a place in the middle.
Now, just do your problem the same way as the example.
