find an equation for the line perpendicular to the line 5x-4y=-5 having the same y-intercepts as -10x-6y=3. I don't understand how to do this problem. please help me

-4y = -5x -5

y = (5/4)x + 5/4

 

-6y = 10x + 3

y = (-5/3)x - 1/2

 

Perpendicular lines have opposite, reciprocal slopes. 

 

y = (-4/5)x - 1/2

10y = --8x - 5

8x + 10y = -5
