To divide 2/5 by 4 1/3, first convert 4 1/3 into a proper fraction by multiplying the whole number 4 x 3 (denominator) then adding 1 (numerator). This equals 13 which making the proper fraction = 13/3. Division of the two fractions is equivalent to multiplying the first fraction by the inverse of the second fraction:
2/5 divided by 13/3 -> 2/5 x (13/3)-1 - > 2/5 x 3/13 = (2 x 3)/(5 x 13) = 6/65
