Jimmy rolled a die 90 times and He got a one 15 times, a two 22 times, a three 18 times, a four 11 times, a five 13 times and a 6 11 times. Using his results how many sixes could Jimmy expect if he rolled 1500 times?

Based on these EXPERIMENTAL results:

 

     11       ?

   ------ = -------

    90        1500

 

  cross multiplication says  ? = 183 and 1/3  = 183.3

 

 

However, the theoretical is 1/6 * 1500 = 1500/6 = 750/3 = 250

because the probability of rolling the 6 is 1/6 is the theoretical probability.
