if a triangle is 35 inches then how much would each side get and they have to be 5 more then the other

A triangle has a perimeter of 35 inches. The length of side A of the triangle is twice the length of side B. Side C is 5 inches longer than side A. What is the length of each side of the triangle?

a + b + c = p; p is the perimeter.

 

a + a/2 + (a + 5) = 35

 

5a/2 = 30

 

5a = 60

 

a = 12

b = 6

c = 17
