Customized lessons based on learning style
To determine the color of each dress set, we use the same formula:
(black) 24/1 x 1/3 = 24/3
(red) 24/1 x 1/6 = 24/6
(blue) 24/1 x 1/ 4 = 24/4
Which, would look like this:
(black) 24/3 = 8
(red) 24/6 = 4
(blue) 24/4 = 6
If we then add the three dress colors together (black + red + blue)
8 + 4 + 6 = 18
Using subtraction, we can determine the number of dresses that are not black, red, or blue
24 – 18 = 6
So with 6 remaining out of 24, the fraction would be 6/24. If we simplify this fraction further, it would become 1/ 4.
