Lisa is arranging her wardrobe she has 24 dresses 1/3 of them are black and 1/6 of them are red and 1/4 of them are blue what fraction of her dresses are not black red or blue and how many of her dresses are not black red or blue

To determine the color of each dress set, we use the same formula:
(black) 24/1 x 1/3 = 24/3
(red) 24/1 x 1/6 = 24/6
(blue) 24/1 x 1/ 4 = 24/4
Which, would look like this:
(black) 24/3 = 8
(red) 24/6 = 4
(blue) 24/4 = 6
If we then add the three dress colors together (black + red + blue)
8 + 4 + 6 = 18
Using subtraction, we can determine the number of dresses that are not black, red, or blue
24 – 18 = 6
So with 6 remaining out of 24, the fraction would be 6/24. If we simplify this fraction further, it would become 1/ 4.
