Fireworks can go up to 1000 feet in around 3 seconds. What’s is it’s average vertical speed in feet per second and miles per hour?

Plz answer my question because I don’t know the answer to it and it doesn’t make sense to me so see if it makes sense to you

The average upward velocity is 1000 ft/3 sec, that is 333 1/3 ft/sec.

 

The conversion is 333 1/3 ft/sec * 1 mile/5280 ft * 3600 sec/hr  (You can do the arithmetic!)

 

Remember that the way to make conversions work is to make the units work out:

ft/sec * mi/ft * sec/hr ... you can see that the units "cancel" leaving you with mi/hr.
