You expand using the Binomial Theorem. The "6 row" binomial coefficients from Pascal's triangle are used, namely 1 6 15 20 15 6 1.
Answer begins this way: (3x)6 + 6(3x)5(4y) + 15(3x)4(4y)2 + 20(3x)3(4y)3 + 15....
