I am in algebra right now and I need math help. I don't know what to do on this assignment.

Subtract the y's, or the output, subtract the x's, or the input, and divide the difference in y's bu yhe difference in x's. You can go either direction as long as you go the same direction.

 

(3,5) and (7,9)

 

(9 - 5)/(7 - 3) = 4/4 = 1

 

(5 - 9)/(3 - 7) = -4/-4 = 1
