Well, the main difference is that the claims don't have inequalities in them:
H0: μ = some number
Ha: μ ≠ that same number
The critical value comes from the T table and must be found by dividing the significance (α) in half, since the two tales must share it. The test score won't change as a result, but it will have a positive and negative tail in which it may land.
