There is a rectangular figure with a transversal of 14ft dividing the figure in half, from top right to bottom left. The top right corner is divided into two angles. The angles are 57 degrees and 33 degrees, respectively. What is the length of the bottom side?

in the triangle, the top angle is 57 degrees and the bottom angle is 33 degrees because of the parallel sides and the transversal

sin57º=n/14, where sin=opposite/hypotenuse and n is the bottom side

cos33º=n/14 where cos=adjacent/hypotenuse and n is the bottom side

cos33º=sin57º=0.83867

0.83867=n/14

n=14*0.83867

n=11.74 feet is the length of the bottom side (and the top side)
