Laundry room math

Question

an Apartment building has 10 units.  In the laundry room is 1 coin operated washer and 1 coin operated dryer. 

The washer costs $2.00. The dryer costs $0.25

normally there are 20% more wash cycles than dry cycles. 

The Landlord collects $100 per month. 

 

My question is how many times is the washer used per month and how many times is the dryer used per month?

d represents the number of dryers

1.2d represents the number of washers

 

0.25d + 2(1.2d) = 100
