My variables, like sensor outputs, had to be integrated into the C code. I spent several days trying to solve a particular problem, without success. Within about 45 seconds Matthew saw what I was doing wrong and helped me understand and implement the solution. His complete knowledge of the Arduino version of C++ was an added bonus so there was no need to explain in any detail what my code was doing.
