7x2 - 5x = 0
First, look to see if there is a greatest common factor. In this case, the gcf is x and so we factor out an x from the left hand side of the equation:
x(7x - 5) = 0
By the zero product property, since the product of these two factors is 0, we can set each factor equal to 0:
x = 0
AND
7x - 5 = 0 solve for x adding 5 to both sides then dividing by 7
7x = 5
x = 5/7
Thus, there are two solutions for this equations. Those being, x = 0 and x = 5/7
