what would be the distance between the points (15, 2) and (6,2)

Note that the points are on a horizontal line, so the distance between them is just the difference in their x coordinates.

 

d = 15 - 6 = 9

 

You can also use the distance formula.

 

d = √[(x₁ - x₂)² + (y₁ - y₂)²] = √[(15 - 6)² + (2 - 2)²] = 9
