How do you find the missing length and volume of a rectangular prism when you only have the width and height?

I have to find the volume and missing length of a rectangular prism. I'm totally stumped!

 

My width is 12 cm and the height is 36 cm.

You would need more information to solve this problem

 

If we call the missing length L, than the volume of the prism is given by the equation

 

V = L*W*H

 

Which becomes

 

V = L*12*36

 

V = 432L

 

This is as far as we can get without more information about the prism that will allow us to solve for length or volume. Once you can get one of the values, you can solve for the other.
