One way to analyze this is to graph the line y = 7. It's horizontal. It's "level," i.e. parallel to the x-axis. So there is no change in y value from any one point to another. Therefore, according to the definition of slope, any y - any other y will always be zero. Do you see how that fact allows you to make a conclusion about slope?
