p(2) = 2(32) - 4(16) - (8) +2(4) + 3(2) - 6 = 0 (just by inspection, you can see it)

 

This means 2 is a root and (x-2) is a factor of p(x).

 

Put A = 0 and B = (x -2)   IS   in your answer.
