B. The amount Gabriel makes per hour

Hi Mari-- it looks like 11.25 h is "$11.25 dollars per hour, times some number of hours."

 

If that's the case, the 60 would have to refer to some additional money. So the "bonus paid of $60" is probably the choice!

Think about what the equation represents:  The amount of Money that Gabriel made.  The 11.25 should equal his pay rate, and since it is being multiplied by hours h it is most probably measured in $ per hr.

 

Now if the result of the equation, Gabriel's earnings, are in dollars $ and the first term on the right yields $/h x h = $,  then the last term should be in $ as well.

 

The only choice that fits with what we know is choice C, a bonus of $60.
