The scale factor for two similar triangles is 2 : 3. The perimeter of the small triangle is 56cm. What is the perimeter of the large triangle in centimeters?

Please help me! This question is on homework tonight and we havent even gone over this yet! How do i do this?!?!?!

Since perimeter is the sum of all side lengths, it scales just as the sides themselves. So two perimeters scale as 2:3. If 56 cm is the perimeter of a small triangle, the perimeter of the large one is (3/2)*56=3*28=84 cm.
