first, in dollars, how much is one quarter's value? multiply that by seven to get the value of 7 quarters.
next, what's the value of one nickle? then one dime? then one penny?
multiply these single coin values by the number of such coins.
finally, add up all of the values of the several quarters, nickles, dimes & pennies
