what unit do meters, miles, and millimeters measure?  (Distance)

 

What about grams? (weight or mass)

 

Does it make sense to measure the distance of rain fall? What about the weight of rain fall? 

 

For this reason, it would make most sense to measure rainfall in grams per second.
