Taylor,
The limestone rock has generally low permeability since limestone does not absorb the water very well. Groundwater is usually higher in minerals depending on multiple factors; it is known as hard water and not sweet drinkable water from lakes, rivers, springs etc. In a situation when the groundwater can create pores in limestone rock due to its dissolution then the chemical composition of limestone is negatively affected. That would create loss of its physical property or permeability creating porous limestone rock.
