asked 01/29/18How to find the surface area of a triangle prism?
I'm not sure what each of the sides/measurements are called but I think the height is 5 cm, the length is 12 cm and the other sides are 10 and 13 cm.

the total surface area consists of the two triangle areas (base & top), and of the three rectangular sides.
Make a sketch of those rectangular sides--each has a length and width. Calculate those three areas.
Make a sketch of the congruent triangular bottom/top, and figure their area. Each of the latter areas is easy if the triangle is a right triangle. Otherwise, you need its three side lengths and can use Heron's formula.
