Finding the coordinates of K

As we move along line segment JL from J to L, x increases by 35 (from -29 to 6) and y decreases by 14 (from 12 to -2).

 

x coordinate of K:  -29 + 2/7(35) = -19

 

y coordinate of K:  12 - 2/7(14) = 8

 

K = (-19,8)
