We can take sec β = (1/cosβ)
and cos (θ/2)= ±√((1+cosθ)/2)
If we take θ=30 degrees we have
cos 15º = ±√((1+cos 30º)/2) = ±√(1±(√3)/2)/2
= √((1+0.866)/2) = √0.933 = 0.9659=cos 15
cos-1 0.9659 = 15.00 degrees
so sec 15 = 1/0,9659 = 1.03530
