You are growing bacteria. From your initial experiments, you know that these particular bacteria would double the size of their population every three hours in the presence of unlimited resources. Thus, if there were unlimited resources, The population is modeled by P(t)=P₀b^t   find B

 

I've been working on this question for 3 days and have tried it over 87 times, please help me.

Doubling every 3 hours implies  2 = 1•b³

 

ln 2 =3 ln b

 

solve for b.

 

BTW...don't say B when you mean b; wanton capitalization is not appropriate in mathematics.
