As the number of children rises, the amount of time to eat the apples decreases.

The number of minutes is inversely proportion to the number of kids.

 

Let m = minutes

Let c = number kids (children :-) )

 

m = k/c   where k is constant of proportion

 

14 = k/7

k = 14(7) = 98

 

When c = 10 children...

 

m = 98/10 = 9.8 minutes or 9 minutes 48 seconds
