So in 16 minutes, she would have filled the pail but he would have eaten half of the pail. So the overall result is that after 16 minutes, she's got 1/2 a pail. So if she does it for another 16 minutes, she gets the other 1/2 of a pail.
So in all, it should take her 32 minutes.
If you think about itr, this makes sense......in 32 minutes, she collects 2 pails but he eats one of them, leaving one pail to take home.
