sines are negative in quadrants 3 and 4
if a = altitude and b= base
then the line 3a -b= 0 is 3a=b which goes through the origin
with angle = arctan(-1/3) base is 3 times as long as the absolute value of the height
coordinates of the terminal point are (b, -3a)
