How to determine the value?

If theta is in standard position and 0 </=theta</=2pi, determine the value of tan theta, if sin theta =3/5

Sinθ = opposite side/hypotenuse = 3/5

 

So the length of the remaining (adjacent) side of the right triangle is √(5²-3²) = √(25-9) = √16 = 4

 

cosθ  = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 4/5

 

tanθ = sinθ/cosθ = (3/5)/(4/5) = 3/4
