Let N be the number of roses in each stalk.
Let R be the number of roses in each bouquet.
1375 x N = 4215 * R
1375/4215 = R/N
275/843 = R/N
So the ratio of roses to stalks is 275/843
This ratio is reduced to lowest terms because the
only numbers that divide 275 are 5 and 7. (275 = 25 x 7 = 5 x 5 x 7. Think 7 quarters = 2.75)
843 does not divide evenly by 7 nor 5.
Please repost the problem. We need to know the number of roses in each stalk, how many roses
are in each bouquet, and either how many bouquets were sold or packaged. The question is
not worded clearly as to the 4215 figure being sold or packaged.
