If you have a certain amount of cloth to work with, and you're stitching shirts out of that original amount, what you're doing is seeing how many "groups" fit into that original amount. In other words, you're dividing that original amount and seeing how many groups you can make from it.
So take your original amount, and divide it by the amount of cloth needed for each shirt. That answer will be the number of shirts you're able to stitch.
