The domain is all possible input values for x
Since there are no restrictions on x the domain is
all real numbers. d = (-∞, ∞)
The range is all possible output values for f(x)
Note that as x gets larger in the positive direction,
f(x) gets larger in the negative direction ... f(x) → -∞
As x gets larger in the negative direction,
f(x) gets larger in the positive direction ... f(x) → ∞
Thus the overall range is again all real numbers
r = (-∞, ∞)
