Write the expression for the area of a rectangle if it's width is 6 units less than its length.

A=width * length
width= 6- length
A= (6-length)(length)= 6 length-length2= 6L-L2

Dominic,
You accidentally wrote the expression for width backwards:
Width is 6 units less than length ...  W = L - 6
Not  W = 6 - L
