So just add the two angles and set the sum equal to 90.

 

Let first angle be "x".  The second angle then is twice as large, so it is 2x.

 

Now add these and set them equal to 90 degrees.  x + 2x = 90

 

so 3x = 90

 

so x = 30.  

 

1st angle is 30 degrees.  Second angle is 60 degrees.
