Evaluate the following limit:
 
sinx/tanx as x approaches 0.

sinX / tanX = sinX/ (sinX/cosX) = sinX*cosX/sinx = cosX
The limit as x tends to zero is 1
 
Optionally , you can use L'Hopital's rule:
     cosX / secX^2  results from taking the derivatives of the numerator and denominator.
 
The limit as x tends to zero is 1
