Two ducks before a duck, two ducks behind a duck and a duck in the middle are how many ducks?

 There is no description. This is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. I am confused about the middle duck.

"two ducks behind a duck" means at least 3 ducks.

"a duck in the middle" means at least 3 ducks.

 

Since they are all ducks, the minimum number is 3 ducks.  However, there may be more.

assuming the duck in the middle is the duck preceded by 2 ducks and followed by 2 ducks.

However, as worded, it could be interpreted as (2 + 1) + 1 + (2 + 1) = 7 The wording is quite vague.
