A plane intersects a regular triangular pyramid. The plane is parallel to one of the faces of the pyramid. What type of polygon is formed at the intersection?

If the plane is parallel to the base, the figure formed is a triangle and if it is parallel to one of the lateral faces it will be a trapezoid, if the pyramid is regular, the trapezoid and the triangle will be regular too.
