The distance may be obtained by doing: D^2 = (X2-X1)^2 + (Y2-Y1)^2; then,
X2=-3; X1= 4; Y2 =5; Y1 =2
Equating all this numbers we have: D^2= (-7)^2 + (3)^2 = 49 + 9 = 58
D= 7.62 units.
I used the Pythagorean Theorem.
