I am going to assume that the rectangle has the following dimensions:width = W and length = 3*W; then the actual perimeter will be 2*W + 3*W = 6*W. if the sides are duplicated, The new dimensions will be Width = 2*W and the length will be 6*W.
The new perimeter will be 4*W + 12 * W = 16*W. The perimeter is twice as much as the initial.
