Ace Car Rental Company rents a car for $50 per day and $0.25 per mile driven. Laura is a customer who wants to keep her car rental bill at $100 or less. At most how many miles can she drive in one day?
Show work. Let x = number of miles driven. Write an appropriate inequality involving x and solve it algebraically

$50+.25x=$100
$50-$50+.25x=$100-$50
.25x=$50
(.25x)/.25=$50/.25
x=200 miles
C = 50d + 0.25X
 
    50 d + 0.25 X ≤100

     ( 0 , 2 )      ( 400, 0) are the intercept points
 
    Test ( 0, 0)
