The smallest gestures often make the biggest difference.
There're two ways to solve this problem.
1. see how many pairs of apples are there in 1 1/2 dozen of apples. (12* 1 1/2= 18, 18/2=9)
so there are 9 pairs of apples and each pair costs 7¢, total would be 9*7 = 63 ¢
2. 2 apples were sold for 7 ¢, each apple worth (7/2=)3.5 ¢
there are 18 apples in a a/2 dozen of apples (12* 1 1/2= 18),
18 of 3.5 ¢' apples total cost 18*3.5 = 63 ¢
so the cost will be 63 ¢
